IN Services
IN Services allow network operators to be able to develop and deploy services and features independently of the switch vendors, allowing more versatility in service development, simplified rollout, reduced costs and greater autonomy. These IN services utilize a set of call-handling and call-routing features to provide the building blocks to create services customized to the needs of subscribers - business organizations, government agencies and individual end users.
MARS offers a Service Creation Environment or platform (SCE) which enables solutions to develop IN services using SIBs (Service Independent Blocks) for PSTN and Wireless (prepaid & postpaid subscribers) networks. The SCE delivers sustained customer value by facilitating rapid development and maintenance of revenue generating services at lower cost independent of underlying network technology.
SSP can trigger these services by making TCAP based queries to SCP using INAP (Intelligent network application protocol) and CAP (Customized Application for Mobile network Enhanced Logic application protocol) messages. MARS platform implements CS-1 interface based on the Q.1218 specification and INAP CS-2 interface based on the Q.1228 specification for the fixed line networks and CAP phase1, 2 and 3 for mobile networks based on ETSI specifications. SCP invokes required service using SLP (service logic program).
